Teaching is a challenging and rewarding career. In today’s social and world climate, it seems more important than ever to help build strong minds and character in our children. By becoming a teacher in our school district, you can be a part of making that happen.
The Otto-Eldred School District is a small, rural school system located in northern McKean County, Pennsylvania. The municipalities we serve (including Eldred Borough and Eldred and Otto Townships) are within a two-hour drive of Erie, Pennsylvania, and Buffalo, New York. The Allegheny National Forest and all of its associated outdoor recreational activities are also within a 30-mile drive from the district office.
Otto-Eldred is seeking candidates who embrace collaborative planning focused on utilizing multiple data sources to promote learner engagement and success. Candidates should be skillful in the use of technology to plan meaningful learning experiences which encourage creativity and critical thinking. They should have a working knowledge of Pennsylvania Academic Standards and find ways to integrate literacy into daily planning.
We offer additional compensation for educators possessing and utilizing multiple certification areas and expect our staff members to use available resources in creative ways. All interested candidates must include the following with a completed application:
- A current resume
- Act 34-Criminal, Act 114-Fingerprinting, Act 151-Child Abuse
- Three letters of recommendation
- A copy of Pennsylvania teaching certificate
